Port Elizabeth boasts 40 km of magical coastline, pristine beaches and rocky shores. What’s more, the beautiful coastline is complemented by a perfect combination of warm water and sunny days.

PE’s warm water makes it an ideal place to snorkel, scuba dive, surf, ski and enjoy many other exciting water sports. Also, Port Elizabeth boasts an abundance of fantastic beaches!

King’s Beach is one of the safest beaches! It possesses over 2km of white sands. The large expanse of wide open waters and fantastic waves makes it an ideal venue for kitesurfing and skiing. If this is just too much action for you and wish to watch it all from a distance, then enjoy refreshing cocktails at the elite MacArthur’s Baths Pool Complex. Also, enjoy sumptuous meals in one of the fantastic restaurants surrounding these pools.

Hobie Beach is another favourite. It is usually the venue for the annual “Splash Festival”, beach volleyball and for the world boardsailing championships. The abundance of low tide rock pools are a favourite among the children.

Humewood Beach is one of Port Elizabeth’s blue flag international beaches! It is a popular snorkelling and scuba diving destination as it boasts a diverse amount of spectacular fish, jellyfish, crabs and octopi.

Sardinia Bay is on the wild side. It is one of Port Elizabeth’s most picturesque beaches offering wild waves and large sand dunes. Pack that picnic basket full of snacks and enjoy a magnificent day on “Sards”.
