Change of Name and Group for Reef on Marine
Filed in: Property Developments, AllA new fabulous hotel will soon be underway in Nelson Mandela Bay. Auspex properties have recently finalised a deal with international hotel operators Rezidor to operate the R320 million hotel!
The hotel, known as Reef on Marine, will become part of the international group‘s Radisson brand, and will now be called Radisson Port Elizabeth.
The reason the Rezidor group was chosen was because of their high service orientation. This hotel group will offer better synergies between the Cape Town based Radisson Hotel and the Port Elizabeth hotel.
The Rezidor Group is always on the move in increasing and expanding their hotel group in different areas. They currently own nearly 300 hotels in more than 50 countries. South Africa boasts vast opportunities to grow the Radisson brand and the Nelson Mandela Bay is well suited to the company’s expansion plans.
Massive projects such as Coega and its IDZ as well as the Nelson Mandela Bay’s status as a Soccer World Cup host will see phenomenal growth in tourism in the friendly city than ever before. This luxurious hotel will focus on a gap in the current tourism market.
Construction has already begun on the site, with mass earthworks currently on the go. Full construction is said to begin on May 1, with the first visitors scheduled to arrive in December 2008.
