Oliver! The Musical

Based on the world famous Charles Dickens tale of Oliver Twist, this fantastic musical features some of the most well known musical numbers in history such as Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two, I’d do Anything and of course the famed Food Glorious Food.

Done by Lionel Bart, this production will be directed by Greg Everard in his fourth outing as Director for the society. In fact, Oliver marks Greg’s 20th year in Port Elizabeth’s amateur theatre. PEMADS is also privileged to welcome yet another talented and seasoned musician known as Nici Coleman who will be the musical director.

In addition, in his debut as choreographer, Oliver the musical will include the terrifically experienced dance talents of Jerry Fortuin with lighting by award-winning David Whitehouse. The vast talents of Alan Williams as the sly Fagin, Rose Cowpar as the kind, street-wise Nancy and introducing Seth Berry and Andre Visser as Oliver, with Kurt Rix and Jarred Steele as the mischievous Artful Dodger not to mention teams of children and chorus members complete the team who will bring this family adventure to life.

With such talent and life, this amazing production promises to be truly an exciting, colourful, fun filled musical adventure for both young and old alike.
