Known to be one of the finest restaurants in The Nelson Mandela Bay, The Coachman offers world class cuisine in a warm yet elegant atmosphere.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The food, atmosphere, service and décor is all excellent.

As you enter this delightful restaurant, you are welcomed by the warm candlelit atmosphere and a well dressed waitress who shows you to your table. Word of warning, book in advance! This restaurant is extremely popular.

The meals offered are diverse and all extremely inviting. For a starter, one should definitely try their mussel starter which boasts a few large mussels smothered in the most mouth watering white wine and garlic sauce. For the main course, if you do not try the Coachman Special you will be missing out on one of the best meals you will ever have! As you cut through the fillet, it’s like a warm knife through butter! The fillet is cooked to perfection, just the way you like it, and complemented with a cheese and mushroom sauce. For dessert, you will require a good half hour to decide which one as each dessert sounds amazing! The Coachman’s dessert menu has a slightly Middle-Eastern feel. Their noughatini cake is one of the best boasting layers of sponge, nuts, nougat and cream. Then there is the old favourite, baklava filled with pecan nuts and almonds. Another favourite is the flambéed strawberries or cherries.
