The Nelson Mandela Bay Truckers’ Jamboree

Port Elizabeth’s truckers spend their lives driving many gruelling hours throughout evenings and early mornings. It is not an easy job yet they are doing it and have done so for many years in spite of threats on the road and time restrictions. Drivers usually hoot and shout at their slow pace on the roads yet truck drivers remain accommodating.

A celebration and acknowledgement of the contribution made by Port Elizabeth’s truckers, couriers as well as fleet drivers will take place at The Walmer Town Hall on 19 October 2007. This fundraising evening will benefit St Francis Hospice.

Known as the Truckers Jamboree, the function will include many exciting events such as a “build-your-own-burger” supper, auction, stand-up comedian show by Craig Mischief, DJ as well as dance. This event promises to be a blast!
